Quick Biography

Dana Panetta, LMHC, CASAC earned her master’s degree in Counseling and Community Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Mental Health from Sage Graduate School. She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor.

Dana enjoys working with individuals of all ages and is experienced in addressing difficulties including: anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, child and adolescent behavioral and developmental concerns, adjustment and life transitions, stress management, family dynamics, and addiction. Dana has developed an expertise in utilizing a trauma-informed and motivational approach with her clients. She is also skilled at offering play therapy. Dana is passionate about providing a solution-focused framework and delivering individualized and holistic treatment to each of her clients.

Star Behavioral Health Providers is a registry that helps to connect military members and their families with mental health professionals who have received specialized training in assessing, understanding, and treating the specific needs of the military culture and population.

Dana’s current designation as a registered Star Behavioral Health Provider means she has knowledge and training related to the demands of the military culture, deployments, and duties. Additionally, Dana is trained to recognize and treat the common challenges and mental health concerns associated with the military to include: depression, sleep disturbances, substance abuse, Traumatic Brain Injury, suicidal ideation, and issues facing spouses and families of military members.
